I needed to get ONE more thing to finish preparing for Thanksgiving, and I had Puck with me. I didn't want to leave him in the car while I went in to the grocery store, and I didn't think they'd allow a pet in Vons, so I placed Puck on my chest and strategically wrapped a scarf lightly around us. I arranged it so he was covered but could breathe. I put on my coat so the scarf didn't look ridiculous with my tank top.

Puck stayed in place the entire time! I did pet him through the scarf a few times, and I made kissy sounds and told him he was good when no one was looking. He shifted once, but he didn't pop his head out or start climbing around or chew on anything. He didn't even poop. I even chatted with people in line. Nobody noticed!

hahahah that's fantastic! I took Lucy in walmart the other day... stuck her in my hood! haha she stayed put for the most part, i had to run behind an aisle and stick her in my pocket for the remainder of the trip since she decided to try to climb my head haha

hahahaha! Clever! I've taken our conure to our grocery store, hardware store, the galloping gifts shop, the post office and even into ROSS! He sits on my shoulder and people see him, and no one has ever said a word, other than...Awww! loook she's got a bird! And of course Franklin get's to be the center of attention and everyone asks things like..does he bite, can I hold him, can I pet him, how old is he, what's his name, what kind of bird is he, or...awwww....I used to raise those, or I have a _______.

So I don't take Franklin if I'm in a hurry to get in and out of a store

That's so cool that you did that and Puck was a good boy! I couldn't imagine doing that with Amigo, in fact, it would be down right scary! I think the paramedics would have to be called in! Not for me or him but the customers, he's quite the terrorist!
