Yes you read right. Seems the latest craze is to buy kool aid no sugar added. Add it to water and spray color your Too. I will admit it made me look twice at the Too ....all colored pink and blue. But isn't this bad for them ?

Seems as dumb of a thing to do as those people who dye poodles:mad: And kool aide is a bunch of chemicals to begin with (that are likely not really bird safe), but also probably damage the plumage. I would NEVER suggest anyone dye their bird! Nature made them beautiful as-is.

Ok - I kind of understand but I don't get the craze. Maybe they can't tell if they sprayed/showered the whole bird so they have to have color. I don't know if the koolaid would be bad for them but it would probably scare my toos.

A full feather Too is so pretty to me. One of the prettiest in my opinion. FULL white OMG they are amazing

Yes - I like them full feathered also.

I have three of them and they are in various stages of feathering right now.
One of them is fully feathered.
One of them is getting feathers back but has one spot on the breast that I'm not sure will ever fill in...about the size of a nickel.
The other one has plucked her legs for so long that I don't think they will ever fill in and there is a spot on her breast that is bare as well. I've only had her a little over two months so it's probably too early to tell.
I think they are all beautiful. I would never think about spraying them with color except maybe at Halloween and Christmas...but probably not even then. But an orange too.....

My guy is naturally hot pink and people ask me all the time, "Do you dye him that color?!" He was "cool" before pink was in, I guess. I hope this fad of dyeing white birds passes quickly. That's really dumb.

I've never heard of coloring your Too. Poppy colors herself sometimes by playing with colored toys after a bath, she's seldom completely white, but I wouldn't intentionally spray her a different color.

Actually the Too is pink and blue the one i see and it is very very pretty. Woman said the 4th the colored him red white and blue. Said she has been doing it for year. They spray it on and shower him off good

Well now - I think a red, white, and blue suit would work too. I just would never have thought to color my too. Or any of my birds.

What? Unbelievable! :headwall: Artificially colored birds will probably increase their preening, ingesting a toxic sewer of chemicals.

Cockatoos have a subtle but distinctive beauty. If one wants a colorful bird, get a Sun Conure, Macaw, etc.

All my babies are beautiful just as God made them. I might be tempted to try to get one to wear a Santa hat for a Christmas card picture, but that's as far as I'd go.

Yeah - I wasn't announcing it. The person I got one of my severe's from called me and asked me if I wanted her Triton. I had a hard time saying yes but I got him anyway.

According to my list of birds and when I got them it looks like just the week before that I got another LS2 and she is a stitch. She talks to me constantly if I'm not talking to another flock member.
