Well, the branch I have been preparing for Cody finally finished drying yesterday, and I had it propped it up against the living room sofa when I brought it in. I took Cody out, and he decided, he didn't want to wait until I finished the base for it, or put up toys! He started tearing into it! And it's strange, because he has natural perches, and he never chews them! Not any wood really, yet he's like an addict when it comes to this branch? Oh well, he loves it!

And I'll be sure to share the finished product after it's actually done, lol.

Thanks everyone! He loves it! Haven't tried it with the cockatiel yet, but I'll wait until it's done for that. Cody's just too darn impatient!

He really does seem like he's in his element! It's so funny that the "real deal" triggered all of this from him. I'm serious, he never chews wood! I have wood chunk toys in his cage, natural bark covered perches (from the pet store), and regular wood block toys, and he never touches them! But put him on a piece of fresh branch, and he goes to town! Makes me happy though, it certainly is stimulating! The way his beak slices through the wood like butter though certainly makes me a little more fearful for my fingers!
