Well happy birthday Fred! Amazing they can live that long! I think Alfie the 'evil' goffin will live to be over 100 just out of sheer meanness

Way to go, Fred! That's also a pretty good endorsement of the sanctuary and its care. I've seen some people online with opinions that living at a "zoo" is inferior to a domestic home.

Me too Terry. The only down side to having a pet is that you eventually have to say good bye. I guess though with Fred as a pet he would be the one saying good bye.

I just had to share such a fabulous story. It just shows if you give them the proper care and enrichment, it shows how long they can be around.

Poor Fred, imagine the people he has had to say goodbye to. I bet his original owners would be thrilled with how well he is doing

I can't help but to feel sorry for Fred though - imagine all his "mates" that have passed on during his lifetime, what a horrible thing to go through multiple times.

He must be a happy boy though to get to a 100, and a letter from the queen - woohoo!
