Good morning

Sitting here at work terrified. My umbrella cockatoo Tiki started screaming this morning as soon as we woke up and has been screaming for the last hour whenever my wife and I leave the room. He never screams in the morning like this except on weekends, and I'm terrified he's dying or hurt or something. We checked his whole cage, took him out to calm him down, and I don't know what to do. I'm on the verge of going home from work to spend the day with him to see if it helps. I can't lose my bird. Thank you for any help...

I hope Tiki is OK and feeling better!
If you think he's hurt or dying, take him to a vet!!!!!

Is he eating/drinking? Normal stool? Moving normal or impaired? Can you handle him like normal? Acting angry or aggressive? (More than normal?)

Screaming could also be him calling you..WHERE ARE YOU??? COME HERE!!!

Well we have a few things to check off the list of possibles that only you can decide.

Illness - Is Tiki eating, drinking, pooping normal? Activity levels normal/playing or sleeping more than usual?

Hormones - Screaming can be part of this.

Hurt/Injured on something? What can you see/feel?

Behaviour - I don't want to be on my own today?

If you are that worried suggest book an AV appointment and have a check over anyway.
