Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?

I recently posted about my nearly 11-year-old Umbrella Cockatoo (who has yellow feathers under her crest). From what I understand, this is not typical. I have finally gotten some better pictures (still low-quality) but better at showing the yellow). I know all birds are unique, but I can't get over the fact that no descriptions of Umbrella Cockatoos mention a yellow crest! It really makes me wonder if she isn't some sort of "hybrid". In my mind, she is an Umbrella Cockatoo, but I think it is really interesting that I could possibly be wrong about this...could she actually be a mix? lol Thoughts? BALD AREA ON HEAD=NORMAL FYI LOL

I’m super curious now - I don’t remember seeing yellow feathers under the crests of all the U2’s that I scritch at the rescue, but I wasn’t looking for them either. Now I’m going to be peering under everyone’s head feathers next week to satisfy my curiosity lol.

Hey Noodles123,
My umbrella cockatoo has the exact same coloring, I don't think it means they are hybrids.

My female cockatoo Baby has the same coloring.

My male U2 Cooper does as well, just checked.

Rocky's come and go. He's had a few yellow ones in his crest and sometimes he molts them out and they come back all white. They're all white right now. His only yellow ones are in his tail and wings. It may have something to do with the time of year, or environmental factors like what they're eating, too, I don't know.

I notice that to as sometimes Cooper and Baby is all white and then during the winter while molting they get yellow under the Crest?
