Cockatiel biteing feet

Hey, my cockatiel rarely i might add, bites one of his feet, usually the same one (his left) and he doesnt make the nicest of noises, an angry noise not an in pain noise. I am quite sure his nails are too long, I am going to take him in to get them done. See if that helps. Also he is not the most agile of birds (my fault for having his wings clipped) and he falls off things quite a bit, im sure it will change when he matures, but he damages alot of tail feathers in the process and sometimes he hurts his wing, its out of place for a while, some times he is in paid and runs around in pain and to me, then he usually preens it out, and feels better. I feel bad, because I took his flight away from him, and there is nothing I can do when he is hurt. He should be going through his first malt now, do you think pin feathers? or feathers out of place? Its that he preens the pain out. Any help is appreciated.
