Hi,
i have question please.
i have pair Caribbean yellow naped amazon they had 3 clear eggs dose this mean they are sick or is it normal things? is there any solution to not get clear eggs?

thank you

I think Crimson had the same problem with one of her finches. Are the eggs without a shell?

What you mean by clear eggs??? Like infertile eggs or clear eggs that you can see through without the use of a flash light? Most of the egg issues are due to insufficient calcium. It wouldn't hurt to have them checked out by a vet!

Hi Mikey,

Yes they are infertile eggs. any help

thanks

Is it their first batch? New pair? How old are they??? If they're new to it, practice practice practice. Did you bought them as proven pairs??? Some breeders are not to be trusted when they say that....

Definitely probably need more calcium in their diet - what are they eating now?

they eat tidy mix seed

fresh fruits.

They need a pellet based diet with fresh vegetables, some fruits and the occasional cooked eggs. Healthy grains and legumes would also be much appreciated... unless you can feed a fresh/cooked food based diet without pellets.

You may want to get the pair DNA sexed, as a "proven pair" could indicate a pair that mates and lays eggs, not necessarily a pair that produces offspring. Have you seen photos of the pairs offspring?

Being in a new and different situation can also result in pairs not producing as they should and just may need more time to settle in or a different setup away from humans.
