Cleaning dry food off my baby's feathers

Ok, so mother and baby are very messy at feed time! Of course I do my best to wipe off any food from her when we are done but I must have missed a bit and it's gone hard and stuck on. I tried warm water it's really hard!! Any tips on how to soften it up?

You can only soak it with water and wait. It will soften up a bit, I usually have to use the tip of finger nails to crush them up a bit. Just be careful since she's still growing in her feathers.
