Christmas Lights?

Hey guys,
Since it's getting closer to Christmas I wanted to put some Christmas Lights in my room. I am not worried that my bird will bite the bulbs, or get tangled in the wires. What I am worried about is that I heard something about lead residue? Figured out the problem! ^^ Sometimes I'm just a worried bird mommy for no reason. x/

Hmn...what if the lights became overheated? Would any chemicals be transmitted into the air? First 'holiday season' with a bird.

Why aren't you worried that the bird might bite the electric wiring and be electrocuted?

Because the ceiling is rather high, his wings are clipped, and he is not let loose in my room. He is only in my room during night time, while he sleeps in his cage.
