So, after my holiday dinner with my grandmother this weekend, we were sent home with some leftovers!
I shared with the fids
I was sent home with some turkey, carrots, and sweet potatoes... plus I had some of my own veggies and such stored at home for the fids as well.
So I put together a special treat for the holidays for my flock, and they all LOVE it!
Christmas dinner Mash
Mashed turkey breast (small portion)
Cooked carrot
Cooked pumpkin
Cooked sweet potato
Corn
Chopped almonds
Quinoa
Rice
Millet (cooked)
all mashed together, it's a huge hit! Great way to share bird-safe Christmas leftovers!
I tore the turkey into small bite sized bits and mashed all the food together and served it up to them. Even our most picky eater is digging in enthusiastically!
