Parrots
Pippin a GCC
Alright so I'm looking at getting another parrot (I have a lovebird) I would like to get a larger bird this time. I have done a LOT of research! I have been looking at (most) conures, small cockatoos, cockatiels, African greys, basicly anything that is not giant. Money is not an issue, space is not an issue, for the most part noise isn't although no large macaws large cockatoos or sun conures or similarly noisy parrots. I don't really care if it talks (although that would be really nice). The thing that matters most is it being hands on. I want it to want to be scratched and handled. I know this can depend heavily on the individual bird and I know about the responsiblity that goes with these birds so please no dire warnings. :)

So what do you want? Do lots of research, go visit lots of different types of birds and choose what feel right to you.

I would agree with Shelly on that one. Good luck choosing the right bird for you!

I'm more specifically looking at African grey, blue crown conure, half moon conure, green cheek conure, rose breasted cockatoo, caique, and double yellow headed amazon. Of these which is the most cuddly (I say cuddly even thought that adj. does not really apply to parrots) and not prone to biting. (I know all birds will bite if scared or provoked, I'm talking generally)

Since you said that cuddliness is your top priority, I'd go with a conure or a cockatoo. I have a GCC that is very cuddly and not at all a biter. GCC's are also much quieter than the other larger conures. Cockatoos are also major cuddlers, perhaps too much so. They can also be extremely noisy.:green2:
