Every Christmas eve part of my husband's family gets together for dinner and an ornament exchange... So, after all the festivities were done and things were settling down, I brought Chili in (we live right next door) and she got to meet nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, etc (about 15 people).

She did SO WELL!!! I am SO proud of my little girl!! ❤❤❤ she stepped up for anyone and everyone, let a few people give her scritches, and of course gladly accepted bits of bread (with my permission).... Towards the end, she decided she was comfortable with my SIL and probably would've taken a nap on her hand lol

It was only a 15 minute excursion for her and she was ecstatic to be home on her boing, but I'm glad she did so well and everyone could hardly believe what a sweet, gorgeous bird she is :)

You go Chili
I am so you are so proud of your baby and have every right to be.
It's wonderful when a bird interacts with many different people and remains calm
You have done a splendid job

There were times when the kids were crowding her and I'd shoo them away...but I was watching her and "listening" to her signals. When she gets nervous and wants me to remove her from the situation she gently pinches my hand with her beak...not to hurt me, but just to say "mommy let's get outta here!"

The kids also did really well listening to me- I had to direct them how to hold her, not to pet her, do this, don't do that, etc and of course they were all eager to hold her- I don't think any of them ever get to interact with parrots, so it was cool to give them that experience.

Oh how fun for all, especially Chili! Last night we had our annual Christmas Eve party filled with music, kids, and adults and to my joy Oliver was totally into it...on best behavior his first Christmas as well...

AWESOME, Shirre!!! I say all this is only because of your AWESOME upbringing!!!! Way to go, Chile!!! Snuggles to her!!!

And MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your loved ones, Shirre!!!!:D

Well of *course* she was well-behaved! She derives from Australia, after all! LOLOLOLOL!

I'm so glad Chili made you proud, Shirre. She's really wiggled into your heart, hasn't she? Merry Christmas to you, Chili and all the family from me and mine. :)

Aww thank you everyone :)

I think with some more outings and more socialization she will really enjoy going out and about. I **really** want to get her a travel cage ASAP now lol
