Cheap, but nice looking stand!

I was thinking of how I could make a decent stand for my soon to be Amazon, so I did a search for what could be used as a rolling base. I found one for $12.99 on ebay and it's perfect.
My plan is to drill a hole in the base and attach some pvc pipe. I will then use a Grapevine perch that I purchased through MSBS for $13.99 and screw that on to the PVC pipe.

I think it will look pretty good once it's put together, and all for under $30! Pictures below.

That is an awesome idea. I am planning on making a tree perch from a sycamore we cut down, trying to decide on a base.....now I think I will have to get my hubby busy on that. LOL

Thinking some more..... I think I might need to add one of those perches to each side for balance, but I think it will also be more pleasing to eye that way, so another $13.99, but even then that's really inexpensive considering what is avaliable pre-made.
