Rosco has recently started talking and he has been getting more chatty. He does not like hands but he does like to land on my laptop lid and chat with me. This is the first time that I have been able to get him to stay and chat while I get the phone up to film him. He demonstrates most of what he has been saying so far. "What ya doin?" "Wack" or "Wack-a-wack-a-wack-a" "Prety-birrrrrrrrrrrrd" and finally he does a humorous version of me sneezing complete with sneezing motion. "aa-ROOOOoooo!"

Rosco is adorable! That wack a wack and the sneezing is hysterical:)
What a funny guy he is!

Oh so funny! He is so cute! What kinda conure is he?
I let my GCC watch this video - he is a very quiet bird, dunno why. If he makes a sound it's like cats purr. :D Maybe he gets some encouragement. :) BTW I loved your bird stand on the corner - I didn't see the whole thing but even a part of it was impressive.

Rosco is a blue crown conure. He is a rescue that I adopted about two and a half years ago when I was living in Florida. He is a funny mixture of not wanting to be close to me but wanting to come over and see whats going on and possibly try to prove he is the dominant bird over me. He is quite the character though sometime he is a bit of a bully towards my near 30 year old blue crown, Tootsie, who you can see for a bit on the play stand. He came over this time to see what my senegal was up to who was wrestling with a foot toy off to the right.

The playstand I bought from a bird specialty store in Florida but it is starting to near retirement. Some of the base bothers me because it is held together by tacks which Rosco exposed when he chewed a corner off. The branches are still in decent condition. I'm near ready to buy a house and when I move I think I'm going to build another stand then take the branches off this one and attach them somewhere in the ceiling to give the birds a high perch to fly to with some toys hanging off. I think that could be an interesting place for them to go to.
