Parrots
Amy a Blue Front 'Zon
Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
..ok I don't tell untruths about my fids,no need to. I think my little green girl is exceptional 'zon..not a sreamer...pretty dang friendly..MOST of the time not a biter  etc etc.

And my little BB boy..I'm new to all this 'tiel stuff, but after doing reading (a lot) and listening to members stories on their little guys, helped me deside on one.

Honestly I could NOT be happier! nor can he! :p People and articles I read talked about a 'tiels general demeanor, talking ability, friendliness and so forth.

Never really had an opportunity to spend any time at length with one. Oh sure when I was married my wife and my friends parents had Corky,a lutino tiel, and I thought he was a character..

Now BB has been with Amy and I going on 6 months now. I KNOW he adores his daddy :p wants to always be with me..he walks/runs/flapflapflap's across the floor calling for me. He jumps right onto my hand to run up my arm to his favorite spot,my shoulder. Then he serenades me with his very sweet warbles, mumbles, songs, and WORDS!

I have read males are the better whistlers/singers/talkers and this little boy is no exception. He is learning new things daily, not only in his whistling, but his talking too...and these are things I really have not been teaching him. The first few words/phrases I would say to him while he was on my shoulder..maybe 10 or 15 minutes at a time, and he picked up these things rather quickly..first it was the wolf whistle that took him maybe three days to learn..then the Andy Giffth theme..then it was a few little words.. BB Good Boy?...Hi My Name is BB...What Are You Doing? those were the only things I really tried to teach him specifically..NOW he has picked up on his own Hi..Hello..Hi DADDY!??? How'd he EVER get that,I don't know! but it almost made me cry when I first heard it.

His morning songs are sooo refreshing and he sings them with gusto,at the top of his little air sac :D "I'm happy to be alive daddy!" it seems like he is saying. 89g's of pure heart and love and joy.

Sorry, can't help but brag  He is a wonderful little ball feathers.

Awwww how sweet! :D

I can tell BB's daddy loves him very much :smile015: They are such cool little birds haha :)

I was impressed with BBs talking ability too Jim. Never heard one talking before, and he speaks with that squeaky high voice, so cute. ANd friendly too ( not like you know who, but her name rythms with Famey). Now with his off the cuff picking up words.. well you just might have a youtube sensation on your hands!

Ah man!! I would love to see more vids of BB talking :D I wish CooCoo'Nut would talk!

I love y'all with sweet well-behaved birds so much that I won't EVEN hate!

Fabulosa!

So cute it hurts.

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is the sweetest update, Jim! You have every reason to brag about BB! Sounds like your little buddy is already quite the talker.

Happy birds are often a reflection of their homes. You are doing a fantastic job, Jim!! Always nice to hear such a positive update!!!

The only "negative" thing I can say about Beebs..and its really just an annoyance , is his obcession with my ear lobe. I mean,he can be peacefully sitting on my shoulder, serenading me,then out of the blue, all of a sudden, BANGBANGBANG! with my ear lobe! He thinks it's his personal sparring partner lol.. It doesn't hurt..I don't even think he KNOWS how to hurt anyone or thing, its just not in his nature.
