MrC had to go to his mother's house to take care of some things for her. She's 85 and still lives alone, so he makes that trip every couple months. He always takes Goofy, but this time he decided to take Charlotte as well.
In Dad's car, ready to go! There's not as much room here as in Mom's car, but it'll do.
Settled in at Grandma's. This isn't too bad.
Not our normal toys and play stands, but this will do.
There's a nice window we can look out to watch all the activity outside.
Grandma's a nice lady! She feeds me grapes!
Dad is sometimes forgetful and isn't as good as Mom is about feeding us exactly on time. That's okay. I'll just help myself to Goofy's breakfast leftovers.
All in all, I think this has been a successful trip. MrC and the two big birds left Tuesday afternoon, and they'll be home late afternoon/early evening today. Charlotte has been quite happy, which we were concerned about, but turned out we didn't need to worry. Also, check out that picture of her gently taking food from MrC's mother! If you recall, we were told that she was aggressive, vicious and and a "don't touch" policy and would never learn to be social. Ummmmm, that doesn't look like a vicious anti-social bird to me!
