Darwin-my baby girl, pineapple green cheek conure, also a rescue. RIP Darwin, dearly missed
Kiwi and Damon, the devilish lovebird twins
Charlie-Umbrella Cockatoo,
He's hopping on the plane tomorrow morning, he's got EVERYTHING he needs, the best of the best. My mom and I hit up all the second hand stores, dollar stores and pet stores in search of pet toys and baby toys for the little bugger. He's even got fresh newspaper in his cage-to-be, everything is ready and all we need for our baby umbrella cockatoo!! Although I am going up near petco later today and chances are I'm going to pop in and spend an hour emptying my bank account. He arrives at 6:45 tomorrow night and you betcha bottom I'm gonna be pressed up against the glass waiting to get in when 6:45 rolls in.
We got the exact same formula the breeder is using as well as the same pellets and seeds. He is on high-quality seeds (low amount, higgins) large pellets by zupreem, I forget the name of the formula but it sure as hell wasn't cheap. He is already eating pellets, seeds (which he will be weaned off of) and fresh veggies and will not be hand-feeding with us much longer.
If you are going to lecture me on adopting and not buying, I made a earlier post about how I DO adopt and have had several adopted parrots that I love dearly, there are special circumstances that you can read about in my last post. Rest assured, this is farrrrr from my first parrot and I do have a great deal of experience. No need for the lectures folks! Although with my baby this close nothing could bring me down! I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED GUYS!!!!
