changing a parrots name

hello everybody , is it okay to change my parrot name at age of 14 months ? ive had it since its born and we gave it a name but my mom wants me to change it so should i do it or not ?

That depends on if he/she knows their name or not, if they know it then no, you shouldn't change it. If they don't know it, then go ahead.
My babies knew their names at 6 weeks old, so my guess is yours does too.
