I feed my Too and GCC Zupreem naturals, which is very good but when I had my Grey's, really liked the Harrisons Coarse.

Yes, you have to slowly transition them, if you don't, I believe liver issues is one of the biggest concerns. It's similar to how you can't just change a dog's diet overnight, you have to slowly mix the old and the new. Also, how much you mix depends on how much you're feeding and what they're supposed to get. I forget how much Grey's are supposed to eat, sorry.

Please don't feed Kaytee's. Not only is it poor quality food, but if you support Kaytee's you are supporting bird mills. :(

Zupreem is a pretty good brand from what I hear. Roudybush and Harrisons are supposed to be better, and some people like TOPS.

If you don't do the transition slowly, your bird will most likely not eat and could starve to death. Make sure he is eating!

I suggest what most avian vets say is the best for the lifetime of a grey. It is Harrisons High Potency course. It is 100% organic and is loaded with the vitamins they need. My bird loves them. I do not like the other pellets that are sold, especially the ones with artificial colors. Our birds do not eat food in the wild with these artificial colors so why should we feed them these foods in captivity?

Just lige helthy children, a perrot eat when it get hungry. I have never heard about a healthy perrot staving to deat. It can be really difficult sometime to mix old food with new stuft.
