Celebrex question

"I read your response to a lady whose bird was prescribed celebrex. You mentioned the drug isn't meant for long term use. My Molucaan has an arthritic wing, and my vet prescribes celebrex 3mg to be taken every other day. Another doctor prescribed gabapenten for arthritic pain. Do you know of a safer (then celebrex) for arthritis? "Thank you very much. Edward

Do you mean EllenD? She hasn't been on in awhile and I worry about her because of it! I hope she sees this.
