Celebrating Ralph's 7th

Today is Ralph's 7th hatchday. He got some new sticks for his building projects, and received a free birthday treat from the pet store (yogurt-dipped papaya chunks). Since he's routinely indulged (I prefer that word to "spoiled" ) it's tough to come up with different things to do for special occasions, but Ralph did enjoy some treats he doesn't get often (a little cheddar cheese, for one) and some extra playtime outside his cage. I think he had a nice time on his hatchday.

CNY, I share your difficulty in finding special treats when the Rbird gets anything and everything I can even imagine that he wants, HAS ever wanted or MIGHT WANT someday! Wise choice, though, a little something that's not awful but can't be fed regularly.

Ralph and I thank everyone for their good wishes. Yesterday, I mentioned to Ralph that, seven years ago today he popped out of an egg. He sat there nodding his head, as if he was clearly remembering that special day.
