So my parents got a new grill, and you know what that means: cardboard!!! I'm going to make a million toys this weekend...anyway, there are these little cardboard blocks with honeycomb type corrugation in them, and I thought they'd be awesome for toys, but then I started thinking about glue and getting paranoid. I've read that the glue on toilet paper/paper towl rolls can be harmful to parrots and other small animals, so I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts on the glue that must be holding the corrugation together. Is there even enough to matter? Does anyone have information on its toxicity? Thanks!

The toilet paper thing is an internet legend and isn't true:

Inside cardboard, they use a starch based adhesive, but its not glue like you think of it. It's plant based and harmless. There is only regular glue on the box. It's all typically non-toxic, though I probably wouldn't use the box ends with the visible glue on them because it is plastic like and I know my bird would eat it. But the rest is totally fair game. :)
