Can't see pics in threads

To any of the Mods (or tech support),

Hello, I'm new to the forum, so am still not sure how some things work lol. I cannot see pictures people posts in threads. I can see the text in the post with the pictures, but not the pictures. I thought I met the criteria of a newbie to be able to see pics, but now not sure if a mod needs to do something on their end or if there is a problem.

Can someone please help me with this? I'm not sure if it's something on my end, a problem, or what! I would appreciate any assistance!!

I'm having the same problem and it's not consistent. Sometimes it is a computer and sometimes it is my Kindle Fire.

I have been able to see the signatures.

When I contact Admin, I need as much info as possible, especially because I don't believe this issue to be related to the site itself.

The bathing winged demon BUSTED! is the thread today. Not sure if this is relevant, but I saw somewhere that a new member has to have posted 5 times, etc. to be able to see pics in threads. I can't remember I saw it, probably somewhere in Tech support forum. I can see my avatar, pics in albums, just not pics in threads. It's been on my phone, computer and Kindle Fire. That's why I wasn't sure if it had something to do with being new member. Thanks for your help!

Not sure if this applies but I have had this problem and then realized I wasn't signed in. Also, once in a while recently, I haven't been able to see the pics but if I hit refresh or go back and come back to the page the pic is there.

Right now I'm in Mozilla Firefox, but it's been Google Chrome too, not all the same. The thread I mentioned above, I can see the captions that go with the pics (I think they're captions).

Very strange. Chrome is usually so good to us. I'll keep looking for the issue on our end and report back.

I thought the same thing...about being signed in...but then the next time it worked.

JerseyWendy - I use Internet Explorer on my computer. I don't have a link right now because for the last couple of days it has been working. If it happens again I will let you know.

I am not good with computery stuff at the best of times, and my laptop is broken. If I access this site from work I cannot see *any* pictures but can see videos and text. If I use a public computer in the library I see everything. I see everything on tapatalk on my phone or in the phone web browser.

Our work computers have a high level of security and a lot of tweaked settings and often do weird things just to spite us and make life difficult so I assumed it was just our odd computers...

Just an update---as of yesterday, I can now see pics in threads!!! I haven't done anything different, other than log off and back in when I realized that I was always logged in when I clicked bookmark to forum page. So yay! I can finally enjoy pics in threads!

Maybe I spoke to soon. I just went to look at Thekarens' thread, titled "Right side up is a matter of perspective" and cannot see her picture. Ugh!!! So apparently it's random pics? Very frustrating!!!

I'm sorry to hear you are intermittently having issues with this, however, I am fairly certain that the problem is not on this end.
