Okay, so I'm looking for T8 light fixtures for 3' Arcadia bulbs. It's for lighting an indoor aviary. The 3' fixtures have to be 30 watt. I need to be able to suspend the fixtures from the ceiling.

I have looked everywhere! Home Depot, reptile stores, aquariums stores, hydroponics stores, amazon, etc., but I can't find any fixtures!

Dual-bulb would be great, and I'd love to get stainless steel ones, but I'm getting desperate at this point!

Does anyone know where I can buy them online or at a store? I live in Canada, and I'm wiling to pay for shipping! I have seriously looked EVERYWHERE. Thanks.

Have you tried mysafebirdstore.com?

If they are the same ones I am thinking of they did have them about a year ago.

Thanks for trying guys ;). I'm looking for the things that you stick the bulbs into, not the bulbs themselves. I couldn't find any fixtures on mysafebirdstore, just tiny light bulbs.

Check in reptile and aquarium supplies. I know both Zoo Med and Zilla make a 36" T8 fixture, and I believe that All-Glass does as well.

I have 36" shop light fixtures - both single and twin bulb - made by Lithonia Lighting that I use in many of my reptile enclosures. They were purchased at Lowes, and Amazon carries them as well. If the factory ballast does not support the wattage you need, it's relatively easy to swap it out for one that does. You can pick up a good electronic ballast for around $10-15, and they are infinitely better than the cheapos that come with the shop fixtures.

Right! I made some calls and have located electrical wholesaler who can scrape up 18 in total.
3' length (not v popular now it's usually 2 or 4)
Surface or suspend fit
£21.00 (GBP) each
Not sure of the shipping or willingness to do this but maybe something could be arranged and I may have to PM you. :D

I agree with the statement that 3' units are not very popular. If at all possible, consider moving to 4' units, as they are far more popular.

In addition, USA EPA had and is still working hard to end this type of lighting source. They were scheduled to die about 10 -15 years ago, but got a stay because of their reduced energy usage. As a result, any product improvement will occur with the 4' units.

Also as stated above, the primary reason some fixtures are lower cost is due to their really cheap ballast. If you target 4' fixtures, also target upgraded ballast as part of the fixture (common noted by a much heavier overall fixture weight - a heavier ballast). Also a heavier/higher quality ballast has a much lower likelihood of a buzzing ballast and a much longer overall life of the light tube and ballast.

Please remember that the bulbs that provide light in this specific spectrum have a limited life; i.e. although the bulb will continue to provide light, with time it losses the ability to provide that specific light spectrum. Read the life statement included with the bulb and change the bulbs out as they begin to reach their life. NOTE: The bulb can be used elsewhere where its use is for lighting only.

Fixtures | Product Categories | The Dragon Lair sells the T5 HO fixtures and reflectors in Ontario. As does Tubes fluorescents : PPM Hydroponique inc. in Quebec.
I know you said that you were looking for T8 but my search for UV lighting for our Bearded Dragon was for the T5. As the T5 Bulbs for reptiles are stronger then the older T8 and don't have to be mounted as close to the reptile.
It wasn't easy to find. Like you mentioned the wattage for the fixture was lower then what the bulb needed. The fixture and bulb should arrive next week from The Dragon Lair for our Dragon.
Also The Dragon Lair has told me that they are able to order the Acardia Bird Lights when they do their monthly order. I haven't asked about sizing or costs yet for the Bird Lights..
