Venus chewed her leather straps to her wacky perch and it fell today. Her cage stays open when we are home because she's in and out of her cage roaming. Husband was in the livingroom while I was cooking. I finished cooking, came out to find this. While Husband watched the soccer game, Canelo visitedd Venus' cage, found the wacky perch and proceeded to eat it like the Hoover he is. The question of shame.... "Canelo, did you do that?"

LOL! I knew YOU needed a Canelo update. He wouldn't look at me when I asked him, lol. He keeps us laughing.

Yes, I did need a good laugh from Canello :)! Yep, I see he is avoiding your question. He isn't even hearing you!

I Love Canelo! Not a trace of remorse on that adorable face! Are you sure that sweet dog actually tore up the perch? Maybe someone was trying to frame him for the crime.

This last week, I don't know what is up with this boy. Last Friday, I found a nice, brown, mink like dog bed for $10. Chug has a bed, Canelo has a bed, the tiniest of the dogs Lola didn't have one so I got it for her. As you can see, that is not Lola, he claimed it immediately, even tried to eat it and pull the stuffing out. He raided the pantry, bottom shelf leaving his demise in the kitchen, under the dining table (he's a bottomless pit, we have to control all food). If he's not sleeping, watch out! LOL

Other than being different breeds, Canelo and my golden retriever have a lot in common. Gypsy is the only dog I've ever had that will eat almost anything she can lay a lip on. She loves stuffed toys but can't be trusted with them, she pulls out the stuffing and chews the fabric. Now that she's on a diet, any and all food has to be treated like a controlled substance. If I don't take up the other dogs' bowls, Gypsy steals the leftovers. Yesterday I fished a piece of birdie bread out of her mouth, I'm sure Poppy gave it to her. Poor girl, now she's begging the parrots for handouts.

LOL! He's my first dog I have to monitor with food. He pushes the other dogs away from their bowls to eat their food if I'm not watching him in his sight. Now Venus has started throwing food off the cage and he's there to clean it up. Wednesday, he had blueberries, brown rice and jalapeño courtesy of Venus. Have you seen a dog that swallows jalapeño without tasting or chewing it? Oh my word, foamy slobber everywhere!!! We did the Heimlich on him when he got an entire chicken breast and was choking on it, seriously, he was. He doesn't chew, he inhales. He has been sleeping in his kennel since he started raiding the pantry at night. Now he stalks the parrot cages like a shark, lol.

Lol. Canelo sure is something isn't he? Causing all kinds of trouble, and by the sounds of it, Venus is a willing accomplice.

That's hilarious! No, I admit, I've never seen a dog eat a jalepeno, although my parrots have offered to share. I'm glad you were there when Canelo bit off more than he cared to chew. It's a good thing that boy has good guardians.

Wow you're not kidding, if Canelo isn't asleep, watch out!!

Allee, poor Gypsy... Her food is now like a controlled substance haha.
