Can I give my parrot a little peice of candy Cane. I think I read someplace that it could be given (obviously I know not on a regular basis). so just wondering if my parrot Tak can have a little chunk of candy cane or if it's dangerous to offer him?

I don't know and I'm curious too... let's see what people say.
Not that the Rickeybird DESERVES any candy!
More like coal lumps...

I wouldnt, its all sugar and whatever other fake sugars/chemicals in there. Look at a pack of gum for example. Most contain phenylalanine and a bunch of other weird/ possibly harmful compounds/chemicals.
Plenty of other healthier stuff like a piece of a gingerbread cookie or cinnamon cookie (without chocolate obviously), as long as its just that and not too many other crazy ingredients.

Pure sugar is never good, and as mentioned there is other stuff that is suspect. I would resist the temptation!
