Bourke
I’m a small breeder based in Québec, Canada. I’m working on a long-term project to introduce and promote Bourke parakeet color mutations that are not currently available here.

I’m looking to connect with experienced Bourke breeders who have exported birds before — or who are open to it — and who may be interested in collaborating. I’m especially looking for rarer mutations, such as Blue selection, Spangle, Pied or others not yet present here.

This is a serious and passionate project. I already breed several mutations (TS, Opaline, Lutino, Rubino, Rainbow, Pale Fallow), and I manage the only two Facebook groups dedicated to Bourkes in Québec. There’s a growing interest and a real lack of availability here, so I’m doing my best to change that with quality birds, education, and community support.

If you have experience with exports — particularly to North America — or know someone who does, I’d love to connect. I’m eager to learn, collaborate, and build something meaningful for the future of Bourkes in Canada.

Thank you so much!

Bourkes are pretty hard to come by here in the US were it's mostly budgies, cockatiels, lovebirds, green cheeks and large parrots. I know a Linnie breeder but not Bourkes. Its even hard to get English Budgies if you don't know a breeder. Good luck with your project.
Where I live in Maine, people aren't much into birds like they are in Florida, Texas, and California- they're mostly dog and cat people.

I looked it up and I do know a Bourkes breeder in Massachusetts. Eddie's Aviary is the name. If you Google them you can get their contact info.
