I'm trying to get a visual. I know the best visual is in real life, but, I want to know in comparison what a five month old looks like compared to an adult, perhaps even in stages from 8 weeks (fully weened?) 5 months, and adult pictures. Thanks.

The day we brought River home at 8 weeks old

Very Beautiful indeed. Minus the tail, how many inches would you say an adult is from head to feet? Five month old?

Yeah, he hasn't changed too much. He's filled out a bit, and with his molt/good pellets/ and full spectrum light his feathers are looking a bit brighter and shiny (can't really tell from the picturs though)

Hmmmm....all are asleep now to measure them....and I don't have babies around just adults at the moment. However I have found that say from 3 months on, babies are as tall as the adults (minus the tail that takes a little longer to catch up).

Here a picture of the pair with 3 babies that are 12 weeks old....Can you guys guess which one are the parents ? (not too great a picture as they were all snoozing but the only one i could find for comparaison)

Darn. So pretty much, adult size is around three months? How about parent , to the right?

Beside the tail that takes longer to reach full size, maybe around 6-7 months, the babies are about the same size or a bit slender. They tend to fill in a bit.

The mom is the 3rd from left and the dad on lower perch.
