Can my email be notified if people in my friends list create a new thread?

I've been looking in the settings but I can't find an option. Is there a way for my email to receive a noitification when people on my friends list create a new thread? Sometimes I can't be on the site and I want to be updated on the pr0ogress of them and their birdies.

Actually no, there isn't. You can set things up so that you receive an email notification whenever there is an update to one of your subscribed threads, or whenever you get a new pm, but there is no provision for a notification whenever one of your friends posts.

In lieu of this, however, you can always go to the public profile of any member you'd like and select the option for viewing all of their posts/threads.

This was suggested previously, but admin informed us that the operating platform for this forum (vBulletin) does not currently offer that feature.
