Can Chickens spread bird diseases to my parrot?

Hey guys, I just thought of something. We have chickens outside and i'm wondering if it's possible for them to spread bird diseases to Peeps or the new Conure. Thanks

(just in case I was bringing Peeps outside and saw the chickens and thought it'd be wize to take him inside)

Yes they can, absolutly, and vice versa............

Not only diseases but also parasites (chickens need to be dewormed regularly because they are always picking up something or another out there).
