Its probably been discussed but I really dont know for sure. I always leave my 46" Bravia on for Tookie to watch the Animal Planet while I'm at work, and sitting here in the evening he will laugh when he hears the "audience laugh track" on shows. I know birds in general have very good eye sight, but can they actually see a flat image on a tv? Or am I wasting electricity? He's worth it so I don't really mind.

Thanks

Yea they do, even tho i believe they have better hearing than eye sight, im pretty sure he enjoys tv or like mine that loves to listen to music :)

You are not wasting your time.... They can definately see the TV :) Codie loves to watch TV and listen to the Radio.

Tookie and I thank you all. I suppose now though there will be arguments between him and I on who gets control of the remote. :)

You could always set up a camera to record him and you can see how he responds to the TV while you are away!

I would say that yes, they do. I heard one owner who left the TV on Animal Planet as well, and when a scary scene came on (predators and such), their bird freaked out. After that, they left the TV on only kids channels!

I like to leave the radio on for Chance my CAG when I sleep durning the day ( i work 3rds) and when im gone. I think he doesnt feel as alone with some sound.

i had a few birds over the years and yes they like tv,
also they love music even more.

my freddy likes to watch youtube on the laptop,
