Good Morning All,

A week off work so I've gone camping down the coast of Australia where my family has taken me since I was a little girl. I'm just sitting by the tent enjoying my morning coffee and watching all the birds wake up to the sunrise.
It's amazing how beautiful Australian birds are. So far I've seen close to 20 black cockatoos flying around and even just sitting in the trees eating. A number of galahs and rainbow lorikeets. About four kookaburras that sit there watching us eat. A yellow crested cockatoo that was flying and came so close I thought he was going to land on my head. There was also four king parrots flying around the tops of the trees ( I think that's what they are anyway they were red with green wings and medium in size) Oh and two sea eagles that were gliding over me as a went kayaking.

I just wanted to share :)

Sigh... got'n'y room in the tent? I'll be down directly! :D

Where are you holidaying, Becky? It sounds perfect!

How awesome that must be to see wild parrots in their native habitat! Sounds like you had a great time :)

Glad you shared! I can only imagine watching kin to my beloved parrots in a natural environment! You are so fortunate!!
