Hi everyone, I am new to the boards and just wanted to introduce myself. I currently have a new 16 week old half moon conure named Caliente (Cali). I purchased her 6 weeks ago after my green cheek conure passed after 17 years. I had Tolkien since I was in high school and got him when he was 8 weeks old so to say that I took it hard would be a massive understatement. He was my very best little buddy.
So, now I have Cali and we are still adjusting to each other. She has a lot of personality and is a very impressive talker. I am really looking forward to watching her grow.

I too give you condolnces on Tolkens passing. Just remeber that Cali will be different then he was. I am glad you found us, and hope you and cali become long time active members.
