Merlin does not like me to leave his sight. If I do, he screams until I come back. He will scream all day long if I'm gone that long. When I had to be away from home for a few days he stopped eating and drinking the second day until I got home.
I have had Merlin for 10 months now. He started this behavior about the second month and it just gets worse. I know this can't be good for him. Not to mention what it is doing to us humans that live with him.
I would love to help him not become so anxious and scared, but how do I do that? I know this must be my fault somehow. I need to change some behavior or reaction I am doing. But I can't figure out what it is.
Any ideas?
