Apparently, they want to be bats when they grow up...

I wish I could say I taught them that. Come to think of it, I wish I could say I've taught them anything. As I like to say to people, Eliza and Henry are quite pleased with their training: after all, I pretty much do everything they want me to do...
;)

With this photo, I was having my coffee, watching the morning news. I happened to glance up, and saw them just hanging there upside down. I grabbed the phone, and as I took the photo, asked "What the heck are you two DOING?"

As you can see, the photo pretty much captures their response: "Um...so is this a trick question, or what?"
:D

They are great trainers! Our 4 Caiques (hereby known as "The Squeak Squad") have trained a perfectly aloof and disinterested CAG into performing all kinds of ridiculous Caique stunts.. Hanging by one foot, imitating their calls, cheering whenever there's a good landing, hopping and chasing the little guys around the floor.. Hysterical!
Ever been hair surfed by a CAG? Lol

That is awesome. They are so cute. So glad that their human training is going so well.

LOLOL! I'll admit I haven't...but I'm guessing the word "excruciating" comes fairly near the mark?
;)

Was this right before they fell off and looked up you at like, "you saw nothing."

Ha! Close! Eliza just swung herself back to the perch, then went away to check off the next item in her daily agenda (she's a busy girl).

Unfortunately, Henry isn't quite as acrobatic as Eliza. Or perhaps he doesn't quite think things through. Maybe it's a combination of both. Anyway, once Eliza had righted herself and left, Henry decided it was time for him to get upright as well.

Unfortunately (and this wasn't his debut at this, by the way), he chose to grab on to that hanging toy. So he started swinging wildly around, with his little feet waving about, trying to get a foothold on something...or anything!

He grabbed on to one of the supports, let go of the toy, lost his grip and promptly crashed to the bottom of the play stand.

Whereupon, he gave me a variant of the caqiue-look you mentioned. In this case, it was "What are YOU laughing at?! I NAILED that landing! NAILED IT, I tell you!"
:D
