Cage for Pionus

It will work if your Pionus has a lot of out of cage time. By reading the reviews, it sounds like there is no tray for right under the playtop so you may have to figure something out about that. I also couldn't find anything about bar spacing, but according to the reviews people have conures up to amazons in there so should be okay.

any recommendations would be great as well. I have Amazon prime so that would always help.

1/2 inch bar spacing is appropriate for a pionus. Don't get anything with 1 inch spacing, as this is way too big for them.

I think that looks like a good cage. Bigger is generally better, but living in small apartments and then in a small RV, I've always had smaller than optimal cages for Jimmy (sadly much smaller than that one). As long as they get lots of play time out and about, it can work.

Make good use of the tallness of the cage. Pionus LOVE hanging upside down and swinging on hanging toys.

Did you find a breeder? So excited you are getting a pi!

I did find a few, they won't have any any next year which is fine. Will give me plenty of time to gather all my supplies.
