I do have two cats -Riply & Nano bites-
four snakes- china, dip & stick, and Grand Chahee-
I've done a lot of research on both, Im still looking into rescuing a AG if I can find one that needs me. But I am taking my time making sure of everything. I am in the process of planning and building a (huge walk-in) cage, I plan on contacting a breeder (if I can find one here) next spring, march, so I can start traveling in warm weather with my new baby.

But I still want info from Real people on the diffrence between CAG and TAG's? real experiences from people who have one, or both, and can tell me in their words, which is best for a family setting. Though I live alone for the most part, my family come to visit nearly every month, due to grandkids, therefor I share my living space with 2 to 6 people at any given time.

I've been thinking on getting a TAG, either just about weaned, or weaned and handled, though Id like a few good pointers on buying a baby, like whos a good breeder, whats the Ideal age?

Can anyone help me?

I also wanted to ask if Starting to buy toys for a bird now is crazy? I was told to wait until I get the bird before I start getting things for it, but thats not what you do when you think your going to get a cat or dog, is it?

My idea is to buy a variety of toys that you believe a bird would enjoy and introduce them one by one and get a scan of what the bird will enjoy. So from their you can get the toys the bird will enjoy!

So I say buying toys ahead of time is great!

People get lots of baby toys and other items before the baby is born. Why not a bird?
I have a wonderful Timneh grey who is sweet and very much loved. CAGS are so much bigger than she is. She was also slow to talk but picked up whistling very quickly. I think the only basic diffeences are the size and the feather coloring.
My new GCC is showing aggression to Rosie and not the other way around.

yea, thats what I was thinking, I am already planning the play/day cage, I think I am going to have about three cages, the bedroom cage, where she is going to spend her nights, the play cage when I am out at work, and a play stand or gym that I can move from room to room with me. (maybe even a time out cage) I also have sevral forage toys on order and a huge toy on a chain with a raw hide on it that I picked up from work. I just hope the day cage isnt going to be too small 3 deep x 4wide x 5 feet tall. its also going to be her "Messy" cage, as thats where the main feedings are going to take place. (its, I dont have a bird yet)
