Bumble’s Gotcha Day

Three years ago today, I brought my little bestie home. She was only 7 weeks old with a baby pink beak, andI was in love. I had no idea what a wonderful journey was in store for me.

She is friend, companion, comedian. There were days she was the reason I got out of bed. My life has completely changed having her in it and all for the best. Who needs candles and wax melts when you can have the sweet smell of birb? Who needs to hang out late with friends when you can sit in the dark next to a cage and listen to scrackle-beak? Bird life is the best life.

The indirect gifts have also been many-notably my parrotforums family and also a group of parrotlet moms I met on Instagram and now consider some of my closest friends.

Bringing this sweet, naughty, tiny bird (with a giant attitude) home was one of the absolute best decisions I’ve ever made, and having all of you here to help me, worry with me, reassure me, and marvel at her ridiculous cuteness with me has been a blessing. Thank you all.

I can hardly believe that it has been three years. At some points it seems like a life time and at others, just a moment ago!

I agree! I still think of her as a brand new addition to my home and also can’t remember life without her. And thank YOU, dear friend, from both of us. When I think of specific people who have been helpful to us, your name is right there. There have been at least a few times when you said “that’s totally normal” and I was able to relax about whatever worry I had.
