budgies tail feathers?

I have a question about my budgies tail feathers the shaft is still there but there are no feathers on the middle of it? all things i have searched about seem to be they loose all the feather including the shaft etc if there moulting.


im wondering if this could be because he sat with his tail in a bowl of water for ages he only had his tail in and that is all thats missing the feathers

will do in the morning as im in the UK and there sleep already as its 1am

its not a great picture but you can see the end of the feather is there then abit of it is missing then the rest is still there also
