I finally got some branches from my parents backyard, bird safe, pesticide free. Happy happy, right?
I installed them in the cage instead of the plastic ones and it seemed like he accepted this change well. During the day he seems to be content to stand on the branches. During the night, however, I hear him moving in the cage. So I checked on him a few times and found him dozing in some convoluted positions, like a bat, grabbing the roof of the cage instead of sitting on the perch for the night. Him grabbing the bars of the cage for sleep is as bad or worse as sitting on a plastic perch. (Im guessing) Its been a few days of no (good) sleep. Suggestions?
