Buddy Goes To The Vet

Wow what an experience. I finally got Buddy to a vet, I kept putting it off but his toenails were looking wicked. I really liked the vet, he's an avian specialist and he had Mexican Redhead like Buddy. I was impressed with how he handled Buddy but I was impressed with how Well Buddy did up until the exam. With no waste of time the vet toweled him, did a great job of it, did the exam gently and quickly, Buddy... Well... He was rather vocal. When they finished Buddy went straight to my shoulder cursing at the vet in bird talk, lol. The vet asked he knew any curse words which I told him I didn't know but we might find out. Buddy did very well, he got a great bill of health, got his nails done. I need to get him harness trained, Buddy loves it outside.

Me too, but I crack up over myself when they were gathering his info. She asked his age and I said "24......YEARS, he's 24 years old." I stumbled over that, I've never had a pet that lived longer than 17 years.

It's great that the vet visit went well! I always find it hilarious how ruffled and angry they are after a vet visit (with a GOOD vet, that is). Shiko and Avery always look so disgruntled and they scurry back to me, give a few good angry words at the vet, and then they munch on a treat I give them all happily. Funny little creatures they are
