Hello my name is Bobby...
I had 2 cockatoos (Umbrella and Blue eyed Triton) growing up from about 12-35. Fast forward 17 years and decided to take the plunge once again. We adopted Bubba a Major Mitchel. I have 2 daughters ages 12 & 14 and he adores them especially my oldest. They can pretty much do anything they want with him and he is very affectionate with them. Me on the other hand he hates. He will come on my hand and is comfortable on my shoulder. But when I try to pet him or scratch his head he tries like hell to get as far away from me as he can. I thought it was the obvious thing that he only likes females. My nephew came to visit and he goes right to him with no issues.
I am very frustrated because I want some love too..
Any ideas on what can be done to get Bubba to trust me?
