Hey, so my female Quaker Parrot named Quasar has been doing brown poops since I got home a few hours ago. So far she has done two abnormal poops, the first one was a large, brown solid and the second was smaller brown poop but had a lot of clear liquid around it.
I've not changed her diet (they mostly have Harrison's pellets and some seed, so their normal poops have green tint to them), and Apollo my other Quaker hasn't been doing any brown poops as far as I can tell. Only thing she has eaten that's different was having a bit of walnut as a treat yesterday. She is acting normal (eating, drinking, preening, flying about ect.), only other difference is that her feathers look a bit "tatty" but I think that's down to her not wanting to have a bath and that she's sneezing a bit too. I'm not sure if the sneezing and feathers have anything to do with the poop, but I'm just adding it in case. Is it possible that she has been eating more of the pellets and that's why her poop is brown?
I'm keeping an eye on her, if she keeps having brown poops tomorrow I'll see when an avian vet can give her a check up. Any advice in the meantime is appreciated.
