Breeding pair issue?

Hi guys,

I got a ‘breeding’ pair of violet ringnecks.

I have the breeding box set up. They both go in, seems like they are digging in there too but still no egg? It’s been a month?

The female seems less interested and the male makes noise for her to go in?

Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the female ?

1 month is a little soon to start assuming there's an issue. It's entirely possible that IRNs are included in the species of parrots that mostly lay during specific "breeding seasons," I'm not super familiar with IRNs so maybe someone else can confirm or deny... but even putting that aside, if they've only lived with you for a month then they might just need more time to adjust before they're going to start seriously working on making babies.

As far as I'm aware breeding season is January/February in the Northern Hemisphere anyway
