Well we just heard from the Vet's office.
All Bosley's test results are in, the cultures were grown.

So after a ton of money and every test we could do, the results are: He is in great shape, only good bacteria. Vet is amazed at his blood work for a bird his age, all organs are in perfect working order. They consulted with another avian vet as well and at this time, just keep doing what we are doing.:D

I am very happy with the results, does not explain why he was closing one eye so it must of been just a minor irritation of some sort.

Thanks!!
I know, this round alone cost me 330.00 for the first visit (exam, corneal scan, blood panel and gram stain), 120.00 for the second visit 2 days later ( swab to be grown for cultures and nail trim)
Birdies are not cheap, but priceless to have piece of mind knowing he is fine!!!

I'm so happy to hear/read that Bosley's test all came back good! Maybe a silly question, but can birds develop allergies? Could there be something irritating him?

Glad everything went well, like I've told you before, sometimes they can get food particles in their eye causing a minor irritation that can potentially get infected. That's why I suggested Vetericyn.

Thanks everyone.

Rita- yes they can develop allergies, it is a possibility.

Mickey-Yes I picked some up just in case

Wendy - Thankyou for you support, I am so happy.

I needed to make sure there wasnt an underlying cause. Vet said that they cantbelieve he is that old, birds half his age are in worse shape. Here's to my little wild caught bruiser LOL

Fantastic results, congrats to you both:)
