Bonnie and Clyde, Umbrella 'Toos, and BoozieToo, a double yellow Amazon. RIP Boozie, Blue crowned mealy Amazon
Boozie got a shower outside among the pepper plants. It is her favorite place to be. Now she is foraging for baby habanero peppers. I was surprised she was actually eating them after her initial nibbles. They are very spicy. I was going to make hot sauce with them, but I can spare a few for the Booz.

She is also finally getting some flight feathers in. She has 3 on one side and 2 on the other. They are well tipped in a deep blue. Thank goodness she will soon regain her gift of flight.

She is lovely, smiling at "foraging for baby habanero peppers" - you go girl but no kisses for you LOL.

Take care with those flight feathers coming in and her regaining flight.

While your Amazon is gaining flight feathers, please start teaching safe flight plans from the cage to perches and other landing areas, including the floor.

Also, teach what surfaces are hard like windows, mirrors, picture frames, etc... It is important to start at a walking pace and then increase to quickly moving. Come right up to the hard surface like a wall and come very close to hitting it. When you have stopped a Parrot Bill from the hard surface, then tap on the surface. If you can get your Parrot to also tap on the hard surface. As you do this with all the hard surfaces, you will not that your Amazon will likely begin to turn prior to arriving at the hard surface. At that point, start adding return flight paths back to the cage.
