I know some species of birds "blush" when excited. At the bird sanctuary I used to be at there was a military macaw who would blush once in awhile. I'm curious on what species are capable of this?
My Rosie, a TAG turns red around the eye area that is much lighter in color on greys. My vet told me it was an increase in the blood pressure from excitement and being held in a towl for examinations.
on the macaw i was talking about, he had white around his eyes. When he blushed, the white turned light pink. My conure has white around her eyes. Why cant she blush? I guess I'm curious if it's possible or just a species thing...
