I know some species of birds "blush" when excited. At the bird sanctuary I used to be at there was a military macaw who would blush once in awhile. I'm curious on what species are capable of this?

I think actually all or most of them might be capable, but you just can't see it on birds other than macaws.

My Rosie, a TAG turns red around the eye area that is much lighter in color on greys. My vet told me it was an increase in the blood pressure from excitement and being held in a towl for examinations.

on the macaw i was talking about, he had white around his eyes. When he blushed, the white turned light pink. My conure has white around her eyes. Why cant she blush? I guess I'm curious if it's possible or just a species thing...

The bare faced species are known to blush, but I'm sure many can and do. With the bare patches on the macaws, you can see it quite clearly. One of the charms of macaws, I imagine :)
