Hello parrot lovers hope you have a good day :)
My cockatiel Pika had a night fright from an earthquake we had this morning and he broke one of his feather, i found some drops of blood inside the cage but he looks fine, no blood on him looks like it stopped, do i need to do something or it will be okay? Any suggestions what to do?
Looks like it got pulled off and not broken

I don't know for sure, but I have heard it should be pulled... hmmm...
Does this help?

In my opinion, any of the vets listed here should be better than a regular vet.
International contacts, too.
If none are near you, maybe you could call and ask for a recommendation for somebody in your area.
And... sometimes, distant vets will offer brief thoughts or advice...

It looks like the feather came out completely.
You should not need to do anything.
It’s when a blood feather is broken but remains attached to the bird it acts like a straw sand the bleeding doesn’t stop.
That’s when you need to intervene.
Keep corn starch on hand for emergencies.

My Cockatiels frequently get scared and injure themselves (feathers).

We have both corn starch for most problems and the chemical/medical stuff I don’t remember name of.

Once I had to take a bird to the vet.
It was a very small blood feather we could not stop bleeding.

Vet used (believe it or not) crazy glue and a bit of another feather glued over the bleeding feather.

Good luck.
Dealing with night frights is hard.
