B&G Macaw
I’m looking at a young female B&G for adoption, and I noticed she had a lot of black on the top of her wings. I haven’t seen or heard of this, it doesn’t bother me as long as it’s not a stress issue with the bird. Does anyone know why or where these came from, I’ve seen her parents neither of them have any black.

If you are referring to the outer edge of the wing feathers, that's Not stress or stress bars, more likely a hybrid of some type from a past mating.

I'm not a Mac Snob, so I do not have a full understanding of all the feathering variations of B&G's.

Get as much information as possible regarding the history and specific Species information! I do not believe that B&G's are CITES classified as endangered, but if under 3.5 years of age, check if this Mac has its CITES Hatch date documents.

This may mean the bird has a sick liver.
